Update and memeage
Apr. 19th, 2008 06:54 pmGoodness, I can't believe I last posted 18 days ago! I've missed you all! It's been a busy few weeks, although perhaps not all that exciting to relate in detail, so the highlights go something like this:
Much seeing of lovely people and watching of movies, including Juno which I LOVED, Hoodwinked which was better thank I thought it would be (and has an awesome banjo-playing goat), and 10,000BC which...well...the landscapes were gorgeous.
I'm thrilled to bits that Battlestar Galactica has finally started again, and not only because it's a cheap excuse to spend time with
twistedhip and his lovely wife. And we're watching Dexter (TV series about a serial killer) which is oddly paralleled by Death Note (anime and manga series about a serial killer) which I also started watching around the same time. My brain keeps playing compare-and-contrast games between the shows, and particularly the main characters.
I got to take the newly-turned-four BrightBoy (The Mongolias' eldest son, for those of you who know them) to the Ontario Science Centre, which was awesome! \o/ I'm not sure which of us had more fun. His mom reported this amusing exchange she had with him before he and I went:
It is SPRING and it is WARM and LOVELY - but outside still holds no interest for me until the leaves come out. I know, that makes me a bit of a freak, but dammit, I crave foliage!
In procrastination from all sorts of projects I had planned to work on, I am proud to announce that I have a ridiculously organized and de-cluttered storage locker. Which is, y'know, great and all, except I still have a meme to respond to and pictures to post. Apparently it wasn't "coming soon" so much as "coming a month later". *rueful grin*
So, that meme!
Dude,
lemmealone asks really good questions:
( If Canada exploded one day, where would you choose to live instead? )
( What is the thing that terrifies you most? )
( What is the one thing that will make you, without fail, really adore a person no matter who they are? )
( Tell me about your favourite poet (if you have one). )
I also had one question from
trialia, ( Whatever in the world inspired you to let a random person you met in the street stay on your couch for a week? )

Mom: So should we go to the Science Centre together sometime?I love this, though I'm not quite sure what to make of it: am I in a separate category than adults? Is he annoyed (at age four) that his mom is finding holes in his logic? Either way, I LOVE IT.
BB: Only kids can go to the Science Centre.
Mom: But what about [Dendrite]?
BB: Mom, don't be silly.
