Hey all! A quick post until I have more time on the weekend to say that minus a few less-pleasant bits (the looooong night after the wine-and-cheese evening was not so fun...but it all tasted so good going down!) I had a fabulous trip and it's been just a tad busy since I got back. No rest for the wicked!

eboniorchid's imminent departure. For those of you who don't know, she's moving in a couple of weeks to Chicago for a seven year PhD program. We'll see her occasionally, of course, but not very often and it's rather hard on the lot of us who have become particularly close to her over the last year.
SO. I had a Brain Wave. I want to make a playlist. Or really, two playlists: one of, like, heart-rending WOE music for wallowing/Someone Else Gets My Pain purposes, and one I'm affectionately dubbing Bring On The Cheese (cuz I'm all about the cheese :D) for singing along loudly.
And given that we all pretty much met through LJ, I thought it would be great to solicit all of YOUR advice on what music might work for this compilation!
I have a few suggestions so far. On the WOE side I was neatly blindsided yesterday by The Weakerthans' Left and Leaving and Justin Hines' Wish You Well. And on the CHEESE side the obvious shoe-in is John Denver's Leaving On A Jet Plane.
