Did anybody get the name of that month?
Feb. 25th, 2008 08:25 amOkay, what the hell was that whooshing noise? Did anyone catch it? I think it was February going by. :P
It's been a busy month, filled with lots of happy visits with people, and productive (if not online) weekends. I often find going online overwhelming: there's always so many entries to catch up on, so many people I'd like to touch base with, that it's just easier to do something else. Does anyone else have that problem?
What I've been trying to do - which was working pretty well for a few weeks, though I was just too damn busy last week - is to skim through as many of your entries as I can at lunchtime at work. I only get a half hour, and I've got to eat in there too :) so I usually just read, and open tabs I want to reply to. They sit quietly open until 6PM when I finish work, and then I comment as quickly as I can before heading out or home for the evening. Because I don't really want to stay at work, I find it helps to do it there since otherwise I tend to get caught up in following links and the next thing I know it's several hours later. Weekends I find I'm rarely online these days.
WRITING entries is a whole other ball of wax. Aside from trying to finish responding to comments from the last entry before writing a new one, I'm kind of weird: I like to be in the right "headspace" to write an entry, and it takes me a while to compose one, so it just doesn't happen as often. Sorry. :( Ironically, I'm writing entries in my head a lot of the time, but usually while in transit when doing so and it's tough to capture the words when I'm sitting on the subway for five minutes, then waiting for the bus for five minutes, then on the bus for five minutes, etc. I do kind of miss my old straight-subway-run-for-half-an-hour for that reason: it made it much easier to DO something with the time.
Anyway. Things I've been up to in the last little while:

( Puttering around my home )
( Watching Dr. Who! )
There's more I've been up to, of course: movies I'm dying to chat about and of course our boys, but this post is long enough as it is and I need to get off to work...
