HAPPY 'WEEN!
Oct. 31st, 2007 01:59 pm...which is the adorable phrase a (then) one-year-old of my acquaintance used a couple of years ago when he was working on this whole speech thing.
Yes, 'tis my very favourite holiday! Aside from wishing you all a wonderful, fun, happy Halloween, I also wish my Wiccan and other Neo-Pagan friends a good Samhain and a happy new year! *throws confetti*
I had hoped to spend the evening with some candles and my journal to reflect on the past year, but instead I'm having dinner with my parents (what? I haven't seen them since the summer!), photographing
audreyovisual's costume and wandering the Village party with
bassringer and others.
This has been the pattern of my life lately. The wonderful people I've been spending time with are a happy improvement on my come-home-and-crash habit, but my life is still not terribly conducive to keeping up to speed on LJ. The five or so hours I've been home in the past week that WEREN'T showering, doing laundry, hosting folk, or rushing around getting ready for work...actually, that IS pretty much all I've been doing at home. *g* If it weren't for checking what few posts I can at lunch, I'd be completely out of touch. So I'll be doing my best over the next little while, but do please bear with me.
In other news,
audreyovisual made a little tin foil hat this morning and every time I walk by it I get the tin foil hat ditty running through my head (link warning: IT WILL BE STUCK IN YOUR HEAD FOR DAAAAYS). I also had to share this awesome costume for those hard up for ideas at this late hour: go as a YouTube video!
P.S. For those wondering about my costume this year, I'm not dressing up this evening but was a pirate on the weekend. Which apparently earned me the nickname LeatherPants Hotness by mah girl. Which I much prefer to the other nickname she had been considering: Adorkable Hotness. THANK YOU, DEAR. ;P :D
ETA: Thanks to
nixwilliams for the info: Happy Beltaine to you Southern Hemisphere Neo-Pagans who flip the calendar, and Happy Wednesday/Thursday to those of you who don't celebrate anything! *still throws more confetti anyway*
