The single best program I've seen at WWSFF so far is playing again tonight, Sunday the 17th at 9:30 PM at Innis Town Hall. It's the sci-fi shorts, and granted, I'm totally biased as a sci-fi and animation geek, but this is an INCREDIBLE program. It includes:

- One Cannes Palme D'or
- Two breathtaking animated ones (and another that's just okay): one in a video-game style (Codebreakers), and the other possibly the most amazingly-executed CGI short I've ever seen (458nm)
- A Star Wars/The Office mashup: Wookie at Work
- A Montreal apartment reimagined as a Star-Trek-like ship on a mission: bread and milk are the fuel, the bathroom is the medical bay, and the escape pod is the garbage can. It only gets picked up on Thursdays... FUCKING BRILLIANT.
