Finally! I'm baaaack...
Jul. 6th, 2008 01:28 pmWell! Just flew in on Friday and have been working pretty much nonstop on wrestling my photos under control so it WON'T be fifty years before anyone sees them. It's trickier with this trip than most (although I'm grateful I only took 2,000 this time, so it's at least going faster!) since so many are of family, so it's hard to know how many would be interesting to anyone not related, y'know?
Anyway, it was an absolutely fabulous trip - the weekend of 40/104 degree heat notwithstanding. :P The town of La Conner in the Skagit Valley was as charming (*cough and as shoptastic as ever cough*) as ever, the family reunion in the Cascades was wonderful - I seem to be blessed with relatives who are enjoyable to spend time with! - the Okanagan was just beautiful and the fresh cherries delicious, Hope (a small town in BC) was an unexpectedly lovely visit, and Vancouver...ah, Vancouver. Home of Granville Island, a bunch of fantastic old friends, and Krazy!, the current exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery on anime, manga, cartoons, video games and art. SO. AWESOME.
The rest of the day will be devoted to the lovely
neeuqdrazil (and we're going to see Wanted, which sounds kickass), so I should have a chance to catch up with the rest of you sometime later tomorrow. I'll only be checking the last page or so of posts, since catching up on the several thousand posts I've missed is a tad impractical, so do let me know if I've missed anything, and how y'all are doing! I've missed you!
