Real Life Roundup
Apr. 15th, 2007 11:04 amFirst, a quick Supernatural question for the skimming f-listers: does anyone know if a Dr. Seuss-style Supernatural crack piece has been done?
Also, I haven't done a real-life roundup in AGES, for which I humbly apologize. *looks duly abashed*
Work: My co-workers continue to rock, even during that most dreaded of ramping-up-to-trade-show activities, the Annual Reviewing of the Price Lists. Soooooo many effing products, in sooooo many sizes. Honestly? I think I'd rather run the bulls in Pamplona. How much worse can being gored be than the STABBING MY EYES WITH A FORK that is my price list week pain?
My line of the week: "Hey [boss]. Are you ready to review these? I think we may need some hard liquor to get through this."
And sadly, I didn't realize until Friday that it would have been much more tolerable if we had been listening to our favourite 80s music station. Nothing makes a tedious task more tolerable than belting out "It's the FIN-AL COUNT-DOWN" and then air-guitaring to that rockin' theme. Or Van Halen's Jump, for that matter.
What else...I went to a wedding yesterday, which was lovely and romantic and yes, I AM a total sap. And I got to spend the whole afternoon running around after/with the Mongolias' kids, which was utterly delightful. There are some awesome pictures of us blowing bubbles and of me dipping the three-year-old Mr. Mongolia Jr. as we "tangoed" which I shall post to my facebook account when I get them next week.
Oh, did I mention I got a facebook account? Yes, I caved, the current youth group crop has sucked me in. So if you know my RL name, you can look me up there. Feel free to friend, if I haven't found you already in mystalking searching.
Oh, and I had the BEST chat with
themoderatrix on Thursday night which made my week! (For those of you who haven't had the good fortune of meeting her, she has the same rapier wit and killer wacky creativity as
audreyovisual and
missyjack. I was joking with Audrey that if we put the three of them in a room together, the collective energy might make the planet explode. Or we could power Canada for a year. To which Audrey's response was something along the lines of, "Yeah, but it would probably be a pretty erratic and volatile supply. Like throwing half a stick of dynamite in a gas tank." Hee!) Anyone else find that reading someone's blog makes you just miss them more? I am SO getting my sorry ass to Ottawa sometime soon.
Goodness, and I still haven't touched on the singles dinner on Friday or various assorted brunches or movies, let alone the Maundy Thursday Vigil - and I never did mention the wet-mounting workshop, did I? Maybe later?
