There is something very strange in the air that seems to be affecting all things electronic. The heat, maybe? "Appliances can get cranky too!"

[profile] thegreenavenger was having trouble with his computer, apparently UofT was having trouble with their system, [profile] fairylane was having trouble with her computer AND phone, my parents are emailing me about exploding laptops...

...and my TV has become possessed. First, the remote stopped working. Battery replacement didn't work. So I actually got off my lazy butt, stood up and went to the TV and tried to turn the volume down manually. My television appears to have interpreted "volume down" as "volume up. up. Up. UP. UP, DAMMIT! DON'T STOP TURNING THE VOLUME UP, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THE 'VOLUME DOWN' BUTTON IS PRESSED!" Yes, my TV turned into a veritable escalator of sound: if I stopped pressing the "volume down" button for even a second, the volume would crank up again. And again. And, dear God, again.

Mercifully, the On/Off button still works. For now, I'm sticking to my computer. And crossing my fingers that it doesn't burst into flames.
