Picspam, people! Real life and Supernatural, natch.
Well, busy week! Thursday night ROCKED, since
krakkernuts and
jumila were over for the new Supernatural episode, and really, good company and great TV, combined with pizza and ice cream: how much better can life get?
I should also mention my exciting family news: my brother is getting married! YAY!!!! She's awesome and I love her family, so this is all incredibly exciting. They told us last weekend when we were up in the country at our parent's place for my dad's birthday. I kept randomly squeeing throughout the day. (Though I did mutter to him at one point, in jest, "Great. Some birthday present for dad: how the hell am I ever supposed to top this?" ;P)
And the weather was just so glorious last weekend. It felt like nature was doing this torturous reverse striptease, though: the grass was tantalizingly peeking through last year's growth, the breeze was caressingly warm - and I crave riotous flowers covering all that bare soil now, dammit! I want all those nekkid skeleton trees and bushes covered in lush, verdant green!
( See what I mean )
( And did I mention how wonderful my brother's dog is? )
And then during the work week there was the Supernatural stuff. IN REAL LIFE.
On Monday morning,
audreyovisual walked into my office with a strange look on her face, saying, "I think the universe is trying to tell us something. I'm just not sure what. Go look out the window."
( So I did. )
I've also been meaning to post for ages pictures of some fabulous items Audrey found at our neighbourhood corner store. She found these choice items between the Portuguese old-lady housecoats and 50-pound bags of lentils. (We work in a rather ethnically eclectic neighbourhood.)
I should point out before I go any further that these are real, honest-to-goodness products you can buy. I don't think I could have made this up if I tried. You can click on each image to see it enlarged, as well.
( If only it were this easy, our boys would be out of a job. )
