*facepalm*

Yeah, longer post coming, I suck (apparently I can comment on other people's posts OR write my own, but not both), but I just had to share:

I bought this thermos last week so I could keep hot tea next to me in my EFFING COLD warehouse office. I didn't see any instructions with it, but whatever: it's a thermos, what's to know? So I rinsed it briefly before pouring my tea into it on Monday, and just got around to emptying and cleaning it this morning.

As I was cleaning it, though, I noticed there was something inside. Now all soggy, and sorta dark and indistinct. I fished it out with some fiddling and yeah, you guessed it: THE INSTRUCTIONS. *facepalm*

So I rinsed them as best I could with [livejournal.com profile] audreyovisual's kind assistance (once she'd finished laughing her ass off, of course), and am drying them out as I type this.

I can't make them out yet, but somehow I suspect the first one will read, "Remove instructions from bottle."

ETA: Oh look. There we go. "Wash and rinse the product thoroughly before first use." Thoroughly. Right. Thanks for the BELATED ADVICE there, thermos guys.
